To really bring out a cool display, I would use different size prints and types of picture frames. I would spray paint all of the picture frames black so there is some sort of unity to the display, but use different sizes and textures of frames.
There are so may possibilities to mix in the display:
- Family Photographs
- Children's Artwork
- Found Objects
- Clocks
- Favorite Artists
- Mirror
- Letters / Numbers
- Clipboards or Hangers With Prints or Book Pages Clipped on
Personally, I have a few ideas and things already... Just have to hang them!
** I purchased a painted canvas of Darth Vadar mask from Star Wars on ebay a very long time ago and have been waiting to hang it!
** Another ebay purchase is a portrait of Abraham Lincoln printing on canvas paper to frame and hang.
** Some Andy Warhol prints! I am fascinated with Man on the Moon.
** My fiance created some blueprints of a house in high school and still has them, so I want to get it framed and preserve it for him.
** Some found objects I have is the letter 'S' for my fiances last name and also some vintage addition flashcards that would look neat in a frame - can't decide vertical or horizontal!
** I have a display case filled with some wooden letterpress that I have been collecting the last couple of years.
** Some paint by number paintings would look pretty neat as well!
SO MANY POSSIBILITIES... What have or would you hang?
